First code release coming

First release is now within days! (I’m pretty sure). We’ve been able to spend the extra time to get TTS and proper caching of both pre-recorded and TTS-generated audio working properly, shared across call threads. The last item before initial release is making sure the SRGS grammars for DTMF are getting processed correctly. As soon as that’s done, we’ll be posting the first code release.

Slipped…

We’ve been sidetracked with critical contract work, which is delaying us for the time being on finishing the release.

Getting close

It’s getting close! With the official Aterisk 1.4 now out, we have a target platform against which to release. The initial release will be tested on Fedora Core 6 for both build and runtime. Digium’s voice recognition work that supports VoiceGlue is evidently done, but hasn’t yet been officially released.

Beta targeting December

The beta release didn’t make it in November, so we are now targeting December. It’s being built and tested against Asterisk 1.4, which still hasn’t come out. Also, Digium’s voice recognition work that supports VoiceGlue isn’t done yet. As with much work that is done for free, you have to be a little bit patient! Or, if you want to contribute, financially or otherwise,
it could push things along faster.

Initial release

Our initial release is being pushed back to the end of November. This is due to all of the cleanup and testing that is going intothe first release. The good news is that this delay should turn the product froman alpha into a beta.
