A timeout of 7 seconds would indicate to me not that it is taking
a long time, but that it is stuck. Normally it happens very quickly.

Actually, this relates to standard downloads of audio, not uploads
such as you are performing here. The standard VXML options should
(hopefully) work correctly in this case.
