[Voiceglue] Voiceglue and ASR

I have been reading over documentation and it mentions speech input, and 
I am wondering, since it is also mentioned 'working on it' if there is 
any plans for other engines, or tie in programs, aside from commercial 
engines. Does anyone know how this is being accomplished? Calling the 
program directly through compiled code, or scripted like the TTS? Is it 
possible to use an MRCP for this?
