[Voiceglue] AGI's EXEC command?

I'd like to be able to use AGI's EXEC command.  The idea being that at 
some point in the vxml execution I'd like to play a large file out of 
the asterisk server's filesystem with controlplayback and then return 
control to vxml.  I think there are two parts to this:
    - does VXML support encapsulating pbx-specific commands?
    - does voiceglue let me pass these commands through if they exist?

I think the answer to this is "no".  In which case suggestions for areas 
of investigation are welcome.
